It is always a thrilling experience to lend voice to an arrangement that encapsulates optimism and joy. “Hold On” is just that and Marques Garrett has once again created a timeless setting.
— Dr. Jason Max Ferdinand, Director of Choral Activities, University of Maryland
Dr. Garrett’s research is an outstanding and critical contribution to choral musicians in the 21st century. Substantial repertoire that has been overlooked and forgotten has been brought to light. We need to hear more of this repertoire and it will be possible because of research like Dr. Garrett’s, for which I am personally grateful.
— Dr. Brian A. Schmidt, Artistic Director and Founder, South Dakota Chorale
