After a simple introduction, the first verse is set above a stationary bass line. The song develops, increases in intensity and divisi, and blossoms as one draws closer to God. However, as we get closer to God, we realize that God is a Spirit who can dwell within us and is not a menacing Power looking down upon us. God is a friend to us.
